WELCOME TO THE IZZZA

     The IZZZA was formed to establish a pedigree and photo identity of zebras of all species, throughout the world, whether kept as pets, trained, show animals, research, zoo and wildlife park animals, or endangered zebra species needing nurturing and revitalizing to maintain their place in this world. As well, the Association recognizes, registers, and maintains pedigrees on all zorses and zonkeys, the resulting exceptional equine hybrids from zebra/horse, and zebra/donkey breedings.

     The interest in zebras, zorses and zonkeys has been long-standing among lovers of these striped equines worldwide and has been documented, albeit sketchily, for well over 100 years. The IZZZA is dedicated to fulfilling for the zebra, zorse and zonkey owners and their animals what other registries and associations are dedicated to doing for their distinct breeds and cross-breds.

OUR MISSION

The IZZZA shall maintain a photo identity record and full known pedigree of every animal that is registered, keep an ownership trail of that animal, keep breeder's records, and maintain the identity and ownership records of all foals from each zebra mare and each zebra stallion. These records shall be made available to the membership.

The IZZZA shall maintain a photo identity record and full known pedigree of every zorse and zonkey that is registered, and maintain ownership records of that animal.

The IZZZA shall be used as an educational tool for both owners of these animals and interested parties, with care, training and breeding education as an integral part of the Mission.

The IZZZA shall promote the enjoyment of these animals through photo shows, video shows, live shows, Association Membership, on-line Forum, Monthly Newsletter, Sales Boards, Breeders List and any and all other methods deemed suitable by the IZZZA from time to time.
